Resources for Brioche Knitting

Brioche

Lets  getting Barking and Burping! There are many suggestions for how the Brioche technique originated. But I love the idea that its was also named after the squishy french bread.

Brioche Knitting involves a series of yarn overs the Brioche Knit (BRK or Bark Stitch) and the Brioche Purl (BRP or Burp Stitch). Whilst you only work one strand of yarn at a time the technique produces a lovely warm double fabric. Two Colour Brioche produces a wonderful pattern like these hats here.  All have been hand knitted by me and are mostly patterns created by Katrin Schubert.
